Gradus Improves Colourways and Performance of Boulevard Barrier Carpet
September 30, 2009
Contract interiors specialist Gradus has re-launched two of its popular secondary barrier carpet ranges, upgrading the performance and colour choices available in the Boulevard 5000 range, as well as introducing modern colourways to the Boulevard 6000 collection.
Renamed Boulevard 5000HD, the barrier carpet now incorporates a light scraper yarn that has enhanced its performance in removing dirt from foot and trolley traffic, plus it’s available in a wider range of eight contemporary colours. Three new colours have been introduced - Kestrel (brown), Redpoll (red) and Swallow (dark blue) – and five existing shades have been renamed to Corncrake, Cuckoo, Shelduck, Moorhen and Jackdaw.
The Boulevard 6000 range has also been re-coloured to provide specifiers and contractors with a plainer and more neutral palette, in line with design trends. Eight colourways are now available, including three new additions - Sapphire (bright blue), Mocha (chocolate brown) and Nickel (grey) – plus five colours from the previous collection - Shadow, Rosemary, Galaxy, Indigo and Nightfall.
Both ranges are suitable as stand-alone mats in all areas of a building where there is risk of tracked through soil and moisture, from corridors and vending and lift areas to staircases and foyers. Alternatively, Boulevard 5000HD and 6000 can be installed alongside Gradus’ Esplanade Plus and Access primary barrier matting to create a co-ordinated matting system at a building entrance or access point.
Karen Burman, Designer for Gradus, comments: “The commercial market is moving toward more neutral colours with a plainer appearance, so we have re-coloured two of our most popular Boulevard ranges to offer a greater choice of naturals, blues and greys across both collections. This provides greater design flexibility, plus the enhanced quality of Boulevard 5000HD provides specifiers and contractors with a choice of high performance barrier carpet to suit different levels of traffic.”
Boulevard 5000HD and 6000 effectively remove and retain dirt and moisture from pedestrian and wheeled traffic, and Boulevard 6000 is recommended for use in areas subject to heavier levels of traffic.
Both ranges are available in 2m sheet format, whilst Boulevard 6000 is also supplied in 500mm x 500mm tiles.
Sample folders and display cards are available on request.
